AUSTRALIAN LADY PIPERS
RETURN VISIT Tim Australian Lady Pipers, who won such popularity here some time ago, will open a throe-night return season in Burns Hall on Thursday. 'Hie lady “kilties” are all Australianhorn, of Scottish descent, and are taking Now Zealand on the way as they set out for a tour of the world that will embrace America, Canada, France, Britain, and South Africa. Starting in Australia seven years ago, under the direction of Drum-major Darwin, IM2.(\S., who is still > supreme control, they played and won in all the great discipline competitions in the Australian States, and did an immense service in helping public and charitable objects. They have now set out on a world-tour, and have had a fine reception in Australia, and Now Zealand. The Press everywhere has been enthusiastic in praise of the winsome lassies and the very high standard of their performance in piping, singing, and elocution. The programme is an admirable one, and the repertoire so extensive that they never give the sarno programme twice in tho same town. They are at present working hack to Auckland, the nort of embarkation, and are assured of a hearty welcome for tbeir own sakos and an enthusiastic reception on account of their programme from those who have already hoard them and from the others who have hoard about thorn.
