THE BIG EXHIBITION

OTAGO COURT The Otago Court at the Exhibition promises to bo one of the most artistically arranged and impressive displays at tho big fair. The contractors have made a good start with tho work, and some idea of tho ambitions nature of tho enterprise can be gleaned from the progress already made. The entrance will bo flanked by pylons of Oamaru stone, with bases of Dunedin whinstone. in the background of a wonderfully comprehensive display will be a lingo panoramic view of Hollyford Valley. The foreground will bo used as a setting for exhibits of native game birds, several specimens of which have boon received. There will also bo a magnificent display of stags’ heads, whilst native wild boar will also grace the walls. There will also be a fine selection of fallow' and red door skins on view, whilst wool will make a splendid showing. The timber exhibit null bo an extensive one, and Central Otago will he to the fore with a fruit exhibit of unrivalled excellence. Arrangements have been completed whereby the dairy section of onr court will bo quite in keeping with the excellence of our products. A novelty will he provided by a monster cheese, in which a number of gold and silver medallions bearing engravings of tho King will bo buried, awaiting lucky purchasers.
