ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS

FATAL SKID. A Stratford Association message states that a young man, Arthur George Sangster, was found dead under a motor car on the East road this morning. The car had evidently skidded badly in a soft place, and overturned. LOG FALLS ON HEAD. A Taumarunui message states that Thomas Begg, married, a carrier, met his death under tragic circumstances this morning. He was loading logs from a motor lorry into a waggon with a jack in the railway yards, when be lost bis balance, and the log fell on his head, inflicting fatal injuries. He died in ten minutes. Deceased leaves a widow and family.
