“CHOICE LOTS AT CANBERRA.” LONDON, August 18. Captain John Morris, a former officer of the Indian Army, concerning whom the ‘Daily Graphic * published a vivid story of Loiutoners’ purchases of land around Canberra, told tho special representative of the Sydney ‘ Sun ’ that ho bad sold in Britain more than 1,000 lots of Halloran’s Canberra freehold estates for over £IOO,OOO. Fully a third of the lots were purchased by Australian visitors. Many Britishers, he said, were prepared to speculate on estate sites near the new centres of population.
