HOME, August 21.—A hair-raisin;; experience befell the passengers on a train at the Boreua incline, at the top of which the brakes failed and the train ran back. It gathered speed till it reached a pace of ninety miles an hour. All tho passengers jumped clear, but the conductor stuck to' his post and was killed when tho train plunged into a ravine.—-A. and N.Z. Cable,
