TO 'inn mu TO 11. bir, —May 1, through your columns, a great number of ladies who otherwise would not be reached in order to thank them sincerely, on behalf of the Y.M.C.A., for tho very generous services rendered in Hie conduct of Q shed as a social rendezvous during the visit of the American fleet. Our thanks are specially due to Aliss Batt, general secretary of tho Y.W.C.A.. who organised the lady helpers through various women’s organisations to such effect that upwards of a thousand helpers took part in the entertainments at Q shed. Rearadmiral G. R. Marvell, in a letter to the Y.M.C.A., expresses his appreciation as follows;—“Will you please convoy to tho officials and ladies of Hie Young Aten’s Christian Association my sincere thanks and appreciation of their efl'u ts on behalf of our men during their visit to Dunedin.
