PRINCESS THEATRE

To-morrow evening the Phil Smith Revue Company, one of, the most successful band of merry-makers who have over descended upon us, will bid farewell to Dunedin. The company’s final offering is 1 On the Scent,’ a delightful detective burlesque, in which Messrs Phil Smith, Nat Hanley, and ‘William Greene are responsible for the many rompish episodes. June Mills, a comedienne of tremendous tonnage, whirls her mighty self about the stage with tremendous gusto to the delight of the onlookers. She has a capable partner in William Lines, the operatic basso. Other turns are given by Buddy (novelty instrumentalist), Walter Vernon (ventriloquist), David and Qucenic Kaili (Hawaiian entertainers), _ and Vivian and Dunn (mirthful melodists). A matinee will be given to-morrow.

MOON AND MORRIS REVUE The Dloon and Morris Revue Com- ; pany, who have been playing to grea,t S business inHhristchuxch, will open their ; Dunedin season at the Princess on Monday. The company is fortunate in possessing such a capable producer as Walter George, and no better staged chows - have ever been seen on the circuit. The comedians are Moon and Morris, a couple of bustling performers I who are sure to prove popular with oven the most Caledonian of auditors. The opening piece _is called £ A King For a Day.’ and is built around Sir Anthony 'Hope’s ‘ The Prisoner of Zenda.’ The cast is a good all-round one, the musical department being a strong feature, whilst the ballet has an abundance of good looks to recommend its charming self to patrons.
