PADDINGTON SHOOTING AFFAIR SYDNEY, August Lh Airs Dyer (not Dwyer) was the victim of the Paddington shooting yesterday. She informed the police that Martini became enraged at lunch because sbo told him that she was unable to prepare his evening meal, and he suddenly drew a revolver. After a struggle she secured the weapon, but lie again obtained possession of it and shot her. He then committed suicide. NORTHERN MINES WORKING SYDNEY, August 19. In accordance with the decision of the coal conference all the northern mines have resumed work.
