Tim mayor (Air H. L. Tapley) officiat'd at the opening function. Drills and (hocuses were given during the aflcrnoon by Anderson Bay 7 Orphanage girls, and to-night the Third Artillery Baud will play selections.
The stalls and .stallholders arc as under: —Jams and pickles, Miss A. Hayes: groceries, Mr C. Brown; underclothing, Miss J. Vincy; dolls and toys. Mrs T. Lemin; fancy, Mesdames F. Raper and Willenden; flowers, Mrs Ilaldey; sweets, etc., Airs G. Anderson; hot peas, Miss Nicol; jumble, Liouteiiiuit Fenwick; fish pond, Master 8. Bridge; rakes, Mrs R. Huglißon; plain sewing. Mrs S. liigman; fruit, Airs W. Firming; .handkerchief. Misses Hughson ami Raper; jollies, Mrr G. Burgess; tea rooms, Airs Captain Bridge and .i is tan is. BARROW FAIR Inis aft or non, in the St. Kilda, Coronation Hall, a, barrow fair was opened oliniully by the mayor. The pro-ec-i, are to be given to tho St. Kilda, Alethodist Church fund. The stalls arc most attractive, and each is represnted by a'decorator! barrow. At S o’clock to-night there will bo a grand parade of (he, decorated vehicles. The stallholders aroj—Ladies’ work, Airs M.'Crone; cakes, Airs Adam; sweets, Mesdamcs Summered and A. Walker; spiderweb, Messrs Clarke and Abbott; ico cream parlor, Airs Macfarlano; handkerchief, Bluebirds; fancy, MesdrmeH Abbott and Aluir; variety, Air and Mrs Kirk; flower, Air and Airs Thomas; produce. Air and Airs AFDonaid. The fair will bo open again tomorrow afternoon and evening.
