INCREASES IN GOST BRITISH TREASURY RETURN. LONDON, August 3. In the House of Commons _ to-day Major Henncssy, a Lord Commissioner of tire 'Treasury, .submitted a table showing the cost of defence in 1913-14 ns compared with 1925-2 G as follows; Britain, including the Middle East, £81,961,000 and £127,017,000; Australia, £1,031,000 and £5,203,000; New Zealand, £560.000 and £913,000; South Africa, £1,280,000 and £893,000; Canada, 11,915,000 dollars and 12,45-1,000 dollars.
