BOIKMAKER ASSAULTED
AN EAR BITTEN OFF OUTRAGE IN A TRAIN. LONDON, August 8. x Mr William Cowan, n Sheffield book*S maker, was found unconscious, with an I car bitten oil' and his ribs broken, in a f compartment of a train that had been occupied by a race gang. i The members of the gang decamped; when the train was held up by signals' before entering Sheffield. Mr Cowan refuses to give information concerning his assailants.
