GRAIN AND PRODUCE. Messrs Donald Reid and Co., Ltd., report: — Oats. —Little business is passing. Farmers are not inclined to accept the prices offering. Nominal value to-day for A Cartons is 3s 6d per bushel (sacks extra), on trucks, country stations. 1 Wheat.—Very little milling quality remains unsold. Fowl wheat is always in demand. Wo quote: 7s Id (sacks extra). Potatoes.—The market remains firm, with consignments offering more freely. Wo quote £7 10s per ton (sacks in'). Chaff.—The chaff market has not altered materially _ one way or another this season. Prime chaff has been selling all along at £5 10s ex truck, and value to-day is still from £5 5s to £5 10s (sacks extra). SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, August 17. At the wool sales the market was very firm for all descriptions at the boat rates of last week, prices for the finer grades being in sellers’ favor. Cross-brods met with a good demand. Greasy merino sold to 29Jd.
