Thirty-eight horses for the For bury Trotting Club’s races that start tomorrow are booked by the train that leaves Christchurch at 9 o’clock tonight. A number of passengers, are also coming from various, stations. The train is due at Dunedin at 7.18 to-morrow morning. Tho acceptors for tho first day average twelve per race, so that there will probably be two dividends every time. The track dried up a lot yesterday, and under the influence of wind and sun was coming to really good order . to-day. All sailors in uniform are to be admitted free without tickets. The first race is timed for 11 a.m. Special trams, buses, and taxis will provide abundant moans of getting to the course. The Kaikorai Band being engaged, tho music is sure to bo good. The Heriot football tournament resulted: Alexandra won the seniors, Dunedin Pirates the juniors, andHenot football results: Matakanui beat Ranfurly by 8 to 3, Gimmerburn beat Becks by 16 to 8 and won the premiership.
