DUNEDIN GUN CLUB
A sweepstake shoot was held at the club’s ground at Green Island on Saturday, and an eighteen clay-bird handicap ■ contested mostly between English and American gnus. The new American automatic trap was used for the first time, and several representatives of the “ fleet ” watched the operations, including a fair proportion of the fair sex. The Green Island members of tho club deserve credit for their foresight in tho selection of the new grounds, as excellent shooting is provided for forthcoming events, A Green Island “ gun, in Mr IT. Smellie, won to-day’s sweepstake with 17 birds (1 star), and Mr A. J. White, 16 birds (2 stars), second. The other best performances were Mir P. E. Wood (16 birds, 2 stars), Mr E. P. Graham (16 birds, scr), Mr J. H. Edmond (16 birds, 1 star)
