TWO DANGLING LIMBS.

A remarkable incident caused thft pilot of an Imperial. Airways express to make a hasty landing recently at the French coastal air station at tit. fhe plane was en route from Zurich to London, mainly with urgent merchandise, and was about to pass out from the French coast for its crossing above the’ Channel, when t OO pilot, glancing hack along the hull or 111? machine, was astonished to see the arm and leg ot a passenger thrust out from one of’the saloon windows. At a loss to know what was happening, he decided to land at once, and then found that the allair was a practical joke. When the aeroplane made its scheduled halt at Paris two Americans went aboard to fly to London. They wore the only occupants of the saloon. As the craft muVred the sea coast, thousands of feet high, they were discussing (eats performed by aerial acrobats in sensational lilms. Ono of them, by .way of playing a joke on his companion, declared that lie intended to emulate one of these dare-devils who walk along the wines of aeroplanes while they are in rapid flight. To lend conviction to his words ho sprang up from his seat and pushed an arm and leg through the saloon window, which was not big enough to permit tlio passage of his body. It was just at this juncture that the pilot out in front cast his glance backwards. When these facts had been ascertained the interrupted flight to London was resumed, but not before the pilot had obtained a promise that the passenger would refrain from any more practical joking.
