The Farmers and Settlers’ Conference passed a resolution recommending that woolnacks should lie made of wool instead of jute, and that the various woollen mills in Australia should ho asked to quote prices. It was decided to co-operate with the Victorian Farmers’ Union in trying to organise a Commonwealth rabbltskin pool as a means of controlling the pest. A committee was set up to confer with the Fanners and Graziers’ Company with a view to formulating a scheme for a voluntary wheat pool next season, together with proposals for warehousing wheat on behalf of the growers. LICENSE REDUCTION SYDNEY, August FT. The report of the Licenses Reduction Board for the twelve months ended December last states that the compensation fees for 1934 totalled £223,816. Thirty-one wine liars in Sydney and fifty lintels in the country were dclirensed. YOUTHFUL DELINQUENCY jVI EL BOURNE, August IT. Dr Argyle (Chief Secretary), in addressing the Protestant Federation Convention, said that the causes of youthful delinquency were, according to the report of the _Chief Commissioner of Police, the decay of home life, the want of moral and religious training, and picture shows of an unsuitable nature. Dr Argyle added that the Government was introducing a. Bill to control the very definite influences for evil spread by ceitain types of moving pictures. ITALIAN AIRMAN THURSDAY ISLAND, August 14. ITT at 10.45 a.m.) The co-operative wheat pool of Western Australia has completed arrangements with the Co-operative Wholesale Society in Great Britain to finance the 1925-26 wheat pool. The Commonwealth Bank has agreed to extend full facilities for the transmission of funds.
