THE SHARE MARKET
DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE, Kawarau Gold found a market this morning at 16a, leaving buyers at 15s 9d, and sellers at 16s Cd without further business resulting. The market generally seemed quiet, very few quotes being registered. Bank of New Zoalands had a margin of 6d,_ and Nationals one of 9cl, but no business was transacted in either stock. Hucldarts are still wanted at 45s 3d, but no seller will come forward. Westport Coals cannot find a buyer, although sellers are present at practically the same price as previously. An offer of 2s was made for AA'estport Stockton (ord.), but sellers stood firm at 3s. Dominion Rubbers had the widest market for some considerable lime, and no business could possibly result with a difference of 4s between the quotes. Government stocks only had two quotes in the free .of tax issues, while Soldiers’ 51 per cent, were not quoted at all. Post Office bonds and inscribed were wanted at the same price as previously without drawing a seller. Sales on ’Change-Kawarau Gold, I6s.
