LATE SHIPPING
fc ARRIVED.—JuIy 30. Matatua, s.s. (1.15 p.m.), (3,51 S tons, Green, from Oainaru. PORT DUNEDIN WIRELESSES. Messrs J. W. Swift and Co. received to-day a radio message from the new motor ship Port Dunedin saying that the captain expects tho vessel to arrive at Dunedin on Monday morning from London via Panama. Bad weather had delayed her somewhat. The u. and D. vessel is inaugurating, in conjunction with the Now Zealand Shipping Company and Shaw, Savill, and Albion ships, the London-South Island cargo service. The motor ship has general cargo lor Dunedin, Lyttelton, and New Plymouth, and she is on her maiden voyage. MIDDLEHAM CASTLE. Tho Middleham Castle, froth New York via Auckland. Napier, Wellington, and Lyttelton, has bean delayed at Napier owing to adverse weather conditions. She is now due here on August 0 'to discharge general cargo_ (including motor cars) and case oil before proceeding to' Castlecliff for completion. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Line steamer Matatua arrived at Port Chalmers to-day to load frozen meat and general cargo for London. She will probably sail on Monday for Timaru, Lyttelton, and Wellington for Lirther loading.
