Yorkshire; First innings, 92(5 (?) for eight wiekets, declared (Leyland 110, Sutcliffe 235, Holmes 50). Middlesex: First innings, 184; second, 149 lor lour wickets (Stevens 66). The match was drawn. Sussex: First innings, 240 (Cook no, Cox 64, Bridges took'live wickets for 89); second innings, 107 lor eight wickets (Wlste six wickets for 4.5.) Somerset: Ernst innings: 158 (MacBryan 80; Tate seven wickets for 75); second innings, 67 lor three wickets. Match was drawn. For Warwick against Lancashire, Calthorpo made 174. The match was drawn.
For Nortlmnts against Glamorgan, Jupp, in the first innings, took seven wickets for 34, including the hat trick, and in the second innings eight for 18. For Glamorgan, Mercer took five wickets for 31, and Ryan five for o 4 in the first innings, and Spense seven for 33 in the second. Nortlmnts won,
For Hampshire against Worcester, Mead made 213 not out. For Worcester Boot took eight wickets lor 165. The match was drawn. For Gloucester against Essex, Dipper made 107, and Parker took nine wickets 44 in the first innings and eight for 12 in the second. Gloucester won. For Notts against Derby, Whysall made 140. (Received July 30, at 10 a.m.) The dates for the interznne Davis Cup matches have been officially changed to September 4,5, and 7, the last date being a holiday (Labor Day), on which day good tennis is usually: provided at'Forest Hills. (Beecived July 30, at 11.20 a.m.) In the first half of the game between the New Zealand League team and Lismoro tho visitors wore on I played, the scores at half-time being 18 to 5 against them. They changed their tactics in the second spell and did not rely so much on their weight. They got the ball moro often and made better use of it in the open. Tho homo team led by one point two minutes before full time, but Dufty kicked a goal which decided the issue.

[Per United Press Association.] DANNEVIRKE, July 30. Two ten-round professional boxing contests were staged by the local association last night. Seaman Rulgway (10.4) beat D- M'Kenzie (10.5), both of Napier, on points. Derrv Clinton (8.1-T, Palmerston North) neat Lin Robinson (9.0, Gisborne) on points. The latter was a particularly good fight. - PETER DAWSON CUP. OTAGO’S TEAM. The following team will represent Otago against Southland in the Peter Dawson Cup match to be played at Invercargill on SaturdayCnskie, Braithwaite, Scoullar, Jones, Dr.vden, Bards ley, Latimer, M'Tavish, Duncan, -Eraser,'and Watkins.
