INTERCOLLEGE TOURNEY
[Special to the ‘Star.’] CHRISTCHURCH, July 28. This week teachers at the Training College here will cast pons and notebooks to the winds, eschew all lectures, and devote themselves to athletic and social affairs. Tbo reason for this is the visit of the Dunedin Training College representatives for the annual in-ter-training college tournament with Christchurch. The tournament began to-day, and will _ end on Thursday. The programme is a full one, all branches of college activities being embraced. Both colleges have strong teams for the various events, and there should ho a very close contest. Last year Dunedin Avon the shield, but Christchurch has great hopes this year.
