LIFE OH A MOTOR LAUNCH
| A Melbourne man has solved the rent problem. He lives in a snug motor launch, equipped with every necessity for comfortable existence, moored near the willow trees in a charming spot on the Yam,. Serene, cure free and rent free, he is the master of bis fate and captain of his soul. Two stoves cook his meals, the cabin contains two comfortable bunks, and meals are eaten in the little saloon. Above is a tiny deck, from which, in the summer, he takes his morning plunge. | Though within a threepenny tram fare of Flanders street railway station, the spot at night is quiet. The river flows silently by, seeming to intensify the silence which is broken occasionally by the clang of a faroff tram bell borne on the wind. In slimmer the life i? ideal, and even in winter this little float ing home oan be made snug . and warm, and it will carry its owner up or down stream, or oven out into Hobson 1
