For the water supplied to March 31 last, the town clerk staled in a report ou the water supply, would be made by the Cily Conned. it had been agreed to allow the borough a further reduction equivalent to 1,(312,0-15 gal at (id, equalling £IS 12s tid', the total allowance for the quarter being £l2. Tiie motor, it was stated, was now practically correct. Tim point to ho considered was whether the council would aoept tiie allowance of per cent, instead of I. per cent., as previously.—Tho report. was adopted.' Tho fortnightly report regarding the wafer supply stated, ill at the consumption for the first week had been 2,929.OOOgal, representing £57 6s, and for (he second week 2,223,000ga1, representing £55 Us 6cl. Tiie total cost, had been £ll2 17s Cd, ns against £ll3 10s for the previous fortnight.
