Loyal Dunedin Lodge’s half-yearly summoned meeting was presided over by N.G. Bm. O. Kraft, there being a largo attendance of members and visitors. One candidate was initiated. (L Clark, who addressed the newly-installed officers on their duties, counselling that they uphold tho reputation of the lodge for efficiency, ihf' officers duly returned thanks. The toast of the visitors was responded to by Loyal Centenary, Cavcrsitain, A alley, Albion, Hand and Heart, and by a brother of Loyal Hamilton Lodge. D.P.G.AI. Bro. Clark responded on behalf of the executive.

Loyal Dalton Lodge, Balduthn, was well attended, N.G. Bro. A. It. Johnston presiding. A discussion took place on the holding of an anniversary function, the feeling being in favor of ■ a revival of the annual ball. It was finally decided to hold a social and dance in tho large, hall on July 29. V.G. Bro, Olsen was appointed secretary of a strong committee. The newly-elected officers were installed by P.G. Bro. Past Grand’s sash in recognition of In’s efforts while in office. Complimentary reference, was made in I lie energy and enthusiasm Bro. Culhert. had displayed in his work as a lodge officer. Bro. AA ilsou (Ca.vershit.nl Lodge) responded to the, visitors* toast. Loyal Centenary Lodge welcomed Prov. G.M.’ Bm. A. Hendry; G.AL. Bro. W. Leoftier. The T’rnv. G.AL installed the officers in an impressive, ceremony, extolling the work of tho retiring officers. Ho congratulated the lodge on its marked progress of late, and urged a continuance of ciforts. The lodge, after discussion, unaniraoufly decided to enter for the shield competition commencing in July. Two new numbers were proposed. The. visitor*’ ‘oast was responded to by Loyal A’alloy, Albion, Hand and Heart, and Dunedin, while Prov. G.AL Bro. A. Wylie and P.P.G. M. Bro, Rosevraro responded tm behalf of the executive. Henderson was. regarded in his district as a man of high intelligence, and he brought this to bear on lodge matter? in a marked degree. His pleasing personality made him an agreeable companion at . lodge meetings, and many of (hose privileged (o meet tho brother in lodge session will retain pleasant memories of (he occasions. Bro. Henderson had a, strikingly varied career as a blacksmith, earning inoro than a local reputation.
