ST. ANDREWS LITERARY GLOB
Tho annual meeting -of the >St. Andrew’s Literary an Debating Club was held cm Saturday evening in the Bible Schoolroom, Carroll street. Mr A. C. Cameron presided , over a fair attendance. Tho annual report, which was adopted, dealt fully with the last year’s programme, which was carried through very successfully. It stated that the thanks of the club were due to Mesdame.s Nimmo, Blair, Miss Warner, .Messrs Morrison, and Paint! for yah al le contributions; to Messrs J. G. Patterson and G. Baylee for assistance as judges; and to the retiring chairman (Mr Cameron), who bad carried through the st<enous jubilee year very efficiently.
The election of office-bearers resulted as follows:—Hon. President, Dr R. Waddell; president, Rev. H. Maclean; vicepresidents—Messrs J. Farquliarson, A. Burn, R. Duncan, J. Hogg, G. I'. Inglis, and J. G. Patterson; chairman, Mr D. M. Malloch; vice-chairman, Mr P. 0. Sniellic; hon. secretary, Mr H. R. Wright; bon. treasurer, Mr N. A. Thomson; editor of ‘ Mirror,’ Mr J. B. Thomson; committee—Mrs G. F. Inglis, Miss M. Duncan, and Mr A. G. Cameron.
