THE PREMIER’S HEALTH
SOME SATISFACTORY SIGNS [Special to the ‘STak.’] WELLINGTON, April 28. No official bulletins are being issued regarding the health of the Prime Minister. This is an indication that, in the medical men’s opinion, there has been no definite change to record. Personal friends of tho Premier, however, have mentioned with satisfaction that on two succeeding nights Mr Massey was able to enjoy almost normal sleep, and has been able to take some nourishment. Mr W. J. Bardsley, secretary of the Otago Harbor Board, has received the following telegram from Mr F. D. Thomson (private secretary to the Prime Minister) : —“ I am desired to express warm thanks to the chairman and members of the Otago Harbor Board for the very kind expression of sympathy and good wishes contained in their resolution transmitted in your telegram of to-day, which has been gratefully appreciated by Mrs Massey and tho members of her family.” Mr F. D. Thomson, on behalf of Mrs Massey and family, has acknowledged the Port Chalmers Council’s message of sympathy in regard to the Prime Minister’s illness.
