OPPORTUNITY FOR INVESTORS. NEW FINANCIAL COMPANY BEING FORMED. OVER £40,000 ALREADY SUBSCRIBED. Ono of the most popular forms ot investment in recent years is that afforded by the several commercial companies that have been established for the financing of motor cars, machinery, chattels, and so forth. In America and Australia these companies already have proved unusually successful enterprises, while a similar company in New Zealand —namely, the New Zealand Guarantee Corporation, Ltd., has demonstrated the great future that exists for these institutions in this country. The New Zealand Guarantee Corporation, Ltd., which was formed some two years ago, is now in a flourishing condition, and it commenced to earn profits a few months after it was established. Today its shares are at a premium. Realising that there is urgent need and great scope for such a company in this district, a group of well-known commercial gentlemen have formed the Otago and Southland .Finance Corporation, Ltd., with a nominal capital of £IBO,OOO, The first issue of 60,000 £1 shares is now being placed on the market, and over £40,000 of this has already been subscribed, and the company has been incorporated at this early date. This means that the Company’s flotation has been established beyond doubt, arid it will commence activities in the -near future. Since only 20,000 £1 shares remain to be subscribed, intending investors will need to make early application. For such a safe, sound, and profitable enterprise, there is always a strong demand for shares, and it is anticipated that the remaining 20,000 will soon ho taken up. It is -not expected that more than 7s 6d per share will be called up. The great attraction of investment in the Otago and Southland Finance Corporation lies in the fact that the Company will commence to earn profits straight away. There is no machinery to instal, -no stocks to purchase. The business of the Company will lie to make advances on motor cars, machinery, chattels, and similar investments, where there is ample security and liberal interest. There is practically no risk of loss, and the very nature of the enterprise ensures substantial ’profits. Another feature that will appeal to local investors is the great stimulus it will givu to local trade and business. Prospectus and further particulars may be obtained from Messrs Quick and Smith, sharebrokers, Dunedin.--[Advt.] Dr Kollog has discovered that the American race is 2in shorter than it was during the Civil War. This comes of too much standing up in those low-ceiling street cars*
