CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD DEBENTURES. £50,000 AT 5* PER CENT. Investors will welcome the opportunity of again taking up Christchurch Drainage Board Debentures. Applications are invited for debentures, which will be issued at par, in nominations of £IOO, £500,, and £I,OOO. Payment of interest'at the rate of 5i per cent, is made on March 31 and September 30 of each year. Interest is paid in full without deduction of any description, and is calculated from the date of receipt of application money. This loan is issued under the authority of “The Local Bodies Loans Act 1913,” and the “ Christchurch District Drainage Act 1907,” security being afforded by a Special Rate of Jd in the £ on the capital value of an area valued at £14,500,000, and ijd in the £ on the capital value on an area valued at £6,500,000. The period of the loan, terminates in 1973, but the Board retains the right of redemption of the whole or any portion after 1938. These debentures will always he readily negotiable. Brokerage of 10s per cent, will be paid to registered sharebrokers and to banks doing business in the dominion.
