OFFICERS INSTALLED The session of the. Protestant Alliance Friendly Society of Australasia Grand Council of New Zealand was concluded on Thursday last in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Kensington,' w;xn the installation of officers, A large attendance from the local lodges, including the W.M.s and all officers 1 1 oin Nos. 9, 41. and 11, were present, when the W.G.M. Pro. W. G. Burnley operod Hie Grand Lodge, all delegates being in their places. Grand installing officers P.M. Bro. C. A. -Arnold and P.M. Bio. W. il. Frith took charge of the meeting, and installed the following officers for the ensuing term ; Past W.G.M., Bro. W. C. Lumley; AV.G.M., Bro. H. I). Austin: D. Bro. 11. A. Christie; grand sec rotary, Pro, B. C. Procter; grand treasurer,' Bro. J. B. Falconer: grand chap lain, Bro. Alt'. Hay. The newly-installed officers retnrued thanks lor their election, and a hearty vole of (hanks was accorded the installing officers. The Entertainment Committee then took charge of the proceedings, which wore in the nature ot a smoke concert. The principal leasts lor the evening were ; “ Tim King,” proposed bv P.M. Bro. AV. IT. Frith (Oamani), D.G.M. Bro, H. A. Christie replying; and “The ('onsiitut ion,” coupled with the Grand Lodge, proposed by Bro. A. K. Aslin, and icsponded to by P.M. Bro. Dnodoro Arnold.
Several items were given by brothers from the various lodges. 'I lie function was brought to a close by Hie binging oi the National Anthem.
