ACKNOWLEDGMENT.
Signor J. Cancare, who has been in Dunedin for the past four months to dispose of tho great collection of Floi online marble works of art. wishes to than* those who have purchased articles from him, and also connoisseurs who nave wished to buy, but their purse-g would not allow them to do so. In an interview with a representative of this journal, ho stated that he found that the artistic taste in Dunedin was excellent. as was exemplified by the demand for the finest exhibits he had. Owing, to engagements elsewhere, he bad had to cut prices drastically. and those poop’s who had bought at 50 per cent, or 60 per cent, *iff were to bo congratulated, as the “ goods were good goods,” and could not bo purchased anywhere in Australasia at anything like the price. lie concluded by saying that tho Dunedin public knew a good article when they saw it, and wore prepared to pay for same; and, if he had been able to wail, ho would not have had to cut prices. “Anyway,” ho said, “good luck to those who secured tho bargains,”—[Advl.]
