LEAGUE FOOTBALL
CITY CLUB The annual meeting of the City Rugby Football League Club was held in Mr If. Divers’s t*>ard room last evening. Mr T. Hughes presided over a good attendance. It was decided that the chili's colors be black and white. The Secretary stated that he had written to the City Council asking for a ground on the' Oval, which would be used for practice during the. week as well ns on Sa’tn'-day afternoons, but. ho had not yet received a. reply, as the allotment of grounds had not yet been commenced. The following officers were elected: — President, Mr B. S. Irwin; vice-presi-dents -Messrs .1. Watt. A. W, Brown, R. Lend go, J. Reid, and J. T. Cooper; committee—Messrs P. V. Stevens, J. Kilmartin, T. Hughes, H. Olds. M. Cameron, S. Knight, B. Eekhoff, W. S. Witty, PI Watson, Cl. Connolly, G. Fry, J. L. Connollv. T. Harvey. If. Fox - , B. Jacobs, D. Gross an, and 0. H. Snow: delegate to tlio Otago Rugby League, Mr T. Hughes; auditor, Mr B. H. Rosevnar; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. B. Harrhy; assistant secretary, .Mr N. Mackay. The Secretary reported that thirty jerseys had been promised, and ho was instructed to proceed with their purchase. A number of new members were elected, and the membership now stands at forty. Messrs G. Snow, G. Childs, R. Tilleyshort, T. Harvey, and C. Connolly wore elected the clul/’s representatives on the Referees’ Club.
