New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Tekoa, with London cargo of a general nature, missed the. tide this morning, and berthed at Port Cmilmcrs. She comes up to Dunedin on this evenings tide. With about 11,000 tons of cargo the Tekoa sailed from bondon on Novemoei' 28, and called at Caracas on December 15 to replenish her nd fuel tanks. \ in; voyage was resumed (lie following day, and Colon was reached on December 16. Next morning the 'Tekoa passed- through tho Panama Canal, ami she cleared Balboa later in the day. Suva was readied on Jan, 6, and after discharging a quantity of cargo for Fiji the ’lekna left for Auckland three days later. At the commencement of the voyage heavy westerly gales were encountered for the first ton days, accompanied by high head seas, which delayed the vessel’s speed considerably. After the storm area was cleared generally fine weather prevailed for tho remainder of tho voyage. The distance steamed from London to Auckland was 12,408 miles. In the Atlantic, tho average speed was twelve knots, and in the Pacilic fourteen knots. Besides cargo, the vessel brought a number of animals for the Auckland Zoo. She discharged also at Wellington, and is later to proceed to New Plymouth to complete discharge. Captain S. W. Somers Vine is in command of tho vessel, and he has with him the following officers;—Chief, Air L. Clements; second, Mr W. Wilson; third, Mr E. V. Bilgrr; fourth, .Mr J. H.
