DEATH OF LORD GRENFELL
A DISTINGUISHED SOLDIER. Frees Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, LONDON, January 27. (Received January 28, at 12.5 p.m.) Obituary: Lord Grenfell,—A. and N.Z. Cable. [Field-Marshal Lord Grenfell was eighty-four years of age. He entered 60th Rifles m 1859. He sewed in the Kaffir War, Zulu War, and the Egyptian expedition, 1882. He was Sirdar of tho Egyptian army from to 1892, and commanded the forces at Suakin in 1889. In 1894 ho was appointed Inspectorgeneral of Auxiliary Forces to tho War Office. He commanded the forces in Egypt during tho Khartum expedition, 18 n 97-98. His last official post was that of Commandcr-in-Chief in Ireland from 1904 to 1908.]
