‘THE MESSIAH ’ TO-NIGHT
To-night at 7.45, in His Majestys Theatre.' the Dunedin Choral Society will open the first of two productions ot Handel’s oratorio ‘ The Messiaa. It w not too much to say of this work that it hns become part of the English nation itself, and is inseparably bound up m the hearts and mind of its people. Its strains are sacred to them, and find a sympathetic response in every breast. Those attending are requested to be seated to permit a punctual opening _ at 7.45 so that there will bo no interruptions by late comers.
