PRICES SATISFACTORY. DROP FROM -.LATE RECORDS. [Per United Press Association;] WELLINGTON, December 15. The second Wellington wool sale closed to-day. Although prices dropped from 2d to 2£d all round in comparison with November sale, most of file buyers admit that the prices paid last month were above the level of economic stability, and that this time '.hey were very much restricted in their limns. On the whole the tone was a healthy one, and the range of prices established yesterday, it continued throughout the season, must prove eminently satisfactory to wool growers as a whole. .November showed a rise of 3d to 6d on the .March prices, amt the fall yesterday does not represent on the average anything like one-half this increment, Despite the high prices, about 20 per cent. oi the growers withdrew (heir catalogue-"., later endeavoring to effect sales with individual buyers. This, however, proved somewhat difficult. 'Bradford again was the host buyer, with lire Continent buying here and there and acting with a considerable amount of caution. America was not prepared lo give anything like the November priors, and was only seeking wool of good character.
