INTEKOLUB SCULLS. Tho Otago Bowing Association's inlcrdub double sculls were held in tho Upper Harbor on Saturday afternoon. _ The first race took place under good conditions, but (hereafter the iior’-easter increased, and the third race had to ho decided over a course from Wavcrley to Anderson Bay under tho Ice of tho land'. The fourth race (Maiden Sculls) was abandoned owing to the late hour and the rough cater. Messrs M'Grath and Priest acted as starter ami umpire, and Messrs Srnoaton and Siycho as judges. Results : Youths’ Double Sculls.—Queen's Drive ((J. Clark, G. Porter) 1, Otago (A. B. Johnstone, F. H. M'Cluskoy) 2, Port Chalmers iW. Ei-ridge, T. Crammond) 5, North End (E. Malison, 11. Kggcrs) 4. A good race between tho first three crews. North End got away badly, one of tho crew coming off his seat. At halfway Otago were leading by a small margin from Drive, Port being a good third. Entering tho wharves Drive passed Otago and won by a length and a-half, Otago being two lengths ahead of Port, North End three lengths behind Port. Senior Double Sculls. —Otago (F. Brough, R. S. Ru.sbatch) 1, Queen's Drive (F. Wilson, 1L Pritchard) 2, Port Chalmers (A. Glengarry, il. Glengarry) 5, North End (W. Jl. Shieffelbien, f. Egger#) 4. Another good race between Otago, Drive, and Port. At halfway Port had (hopped behind a little, leaving Otago ami Drive to fight out a good finish. Entering the wharves Otago led by three-quar-ters of a length, and they maintained this to the finish, although Wilson tried hard to reduce the gap. Port finished three lengths behind Drive, but North End stopped before the finish was reached. Junior Sculls. —Queen’s Drive IT. Hotton, J. Holton) 1, Otago (A. A. Perry, P. H. Anderson) 2, North End (A. Gallaml, W. Templeton) 3, Port Chalmers (J. Crammond, J. Solomon) 4. Drive were off tho quickest, but Otago held them as far ns the powder hulk, when the superior training of the Holton brothers fold, and they won a good race by one and a-half lengths from Otago, who were three lengths ahead of North" End. The veteran Gallaml. in tho North End crew, just heat Pori by a canvas for third place. As a result of Saturday's races tho Queen’s Drive Club wins the Ren nick Challenge Cup for the season.
