WIRELESS STATIONS.
MELBOURNE, December 9. (Received December 9, at 1.15 p.m.) In reference to the reported acceptance! of tenders for the erection of beam wire- ! less stations, Mr Bruce states that ho has received no advice of the lender having been accepted j The ‘Age ’ refers to the alleged acceptance ns apparently an inspired report, and adds: “It is considered astounding that up to the present no official notification of any such decision has been received by the Commonwealth Government from its representatives on the Board of Directors of Amalgamated Wireless, Ltd.” [A Sydney message dated the 3rd inst. stated: “A tender from the Marconi Company for the erection in Australia of stations under the new beam wireless system for direct communications between England and Australia has been accepted by the Board of Amalgamated Wireless, Ltd. The stations will have a guaranteed tiaffic capacity three times greater than that previously guaranteed for a highpower station. It is anticipated that the stations will operate continuously.”]
