COMRADE'S TREACHERY
A WIFE BETRAYED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. BUCHAREST, December 1. Holloman Giurgi, who was taken prisoner by the Russians in 1917, shared a cell for several years with Nysider, a Rumanian soldier. Giurgi expatiated perpetually to his cell-mate about his wife's charms' and his courtship and marriage. About two years ago Nysider was liberated. Ho went to Klausonhurg, and announced himself as the woman s missing husband. She was most sceptical at first, declaring that no man could have so altered, but Nysidor’s quotations of incidents during ‘their courtship and early married life learned in the prison cell' convinced her that ho was her real husband changed by hardships. The couple lived together for eighteen months, when Giurgi appeared. Nysider fled to tho country. Giurgi refused to forgive his credulous wife, and sought a divorce, but the court refused flic peti-tion.-—A. and N.Z. Cable.
