ARRlVED.—November 8. Waiotapn, s.s. (7.40), 5,836 tons, Dnvcy, from Lyttelton. The Waiotapn arrived at Port Cha'mcrs this morning with oil for the Wahine. Slip sails at 5 p.m. to-day for Melbourne. The Kurow was due at 5.30 p.m. to-day from Port Stephens. She sails the middle of next week for Bluff to complete discharge. The Kahika leaves Bluff at 5 p.m. today, and will be here to-morrow morning, 'he sails about Monday for the West Coast via ports. The Opilii was (o leave Wellington today, and is expected here on Monday. She loads for New Plymouth and Nelson. The Navua sails at 5 p.m. to-day for Auckland via ports. The Win gain i leaves Auckland early next week for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The Waimarino is to leave Newcastle nil Monday fur Port Cha’mcrs. The Kahika loads at Westport at the end of next week for Oaraaru and Dunedin. The Flora is expected to-morrow from Auckland via ports, and sails on Monday for Napier and fiisborne via Oamaru, Tlmaru, and Lyttelton. The Knmona is loading coal on the West Coast for the Sir -lames Clark Ross. The Breeze is expected towards the end of next week to load for Wanganui via ports. The Canadian Challenger is due on "Wednesday morning from Adelaide via Bluff to discharge and to commence loading for New York, Boston, and Halifax. The Cumberland is expected here about November 22 to discharge the remainder of her Liverpool cargo. She then proceeds to Port Chalmers to commence loading for England. The Port Campbell is due at Bluff from Australia on November 23 to commence loading for New York, Boston, and London. She is expected at Port Chalmers about November 26. for further loading. Messrs Neill and Co. advise that transhipments ex the Taiyuan, which arrived at Sydney on November 2. will come forward by the Whangape, which leaves Sydney on November 12. ULIMAROA’S CHRISTMAS RUNNING. The Hnddart-Parker Company advises that the arrangements for the Christmas running of the Ulimnroa have been altered. This steamer will now leave Sydpey on December 19 for Auckland, and every endeavor will be made to despatch her from that port on Wednesday. December 24. Should it be impossible ■ for her to be despatched on that date the XJlimaroa will remain in Auckland and sail on December 27. THE QUEBEC CITY. The Reardon-Smith Line steamer Quebec City is expected at Auckland about November 20 from Port Arthur. She left the Texas port on October 17 for Auckland, Beauty Point, and Melbourne. THE PORT CHALMERS. The C. and D. Lino steamer Port Chalmers, due at Wellington on Sunday from New York via Auckland, is expected to leave there next Wednesday for Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, and Bluff.

RICHARDSON LINE’S NEW SHIPS. The steamer Glenside, which has been purchased by the Richardson Line, cleared Panama on October en route from the United Kingdom to N'apier. The vessel averaged eight knots crossing the Atlantic. She is due at Napier about the middle of this month. The Sunnyhill, another steamer purchased by the Richardson Line, left the United Kingdom on October 25 for Napier via Panama. PERSONAL. Captain A. E. Chrisp, who has been on holiday, has rejoined the Waipori, and Captain Chatfield has been granted holiday leave. Mr A. D. Holden, who has been on sick leave, has rejoined the Manuka as third officer, and Mr G. V. Hildebrand awaits instructions. Captain IV. E. Eglen has been appointed master of the Kokiri. and has with him Mr A. M. Lucas as chief officer and Mr J. W. Thomson as second. Captain D, M’Donald is to be master of the Kamo, Mr F. A. Wilson chief officer, and Mr J. S-. Beaton second. Mr L. C. Davies, chief engineer, has left the Kamona, and Mr R. Sinclair lias joined,.the vessel in his stead. Mr W. J. Millward has joined the Maori as third officer, relieving Mr G. H. Kime TRANSPACIFIC PASSENGER SERVICE. With the advent of the new quadruple screw motor vessel Aorangi into the Vancouver mail service, the Union Steam Ship Company intends transferring the R.M.S. Maknra to the San Francisco mail service. The Maknra has had a splendid record in the Vancouver mail service, and, like the other vessels of the transpacific mail lines, she is an oil burner, and has an excellent turn of speed. She has always been a favorite with regular travellers. She has accommodation for 209 first class, 120 second class, and_ 75 third class passengers, and has exceptionally fine public rooms, lounge rooms, music rooms, smoking rooms, etc. The Makura will make her initiative sailing in the San Francisco service from Sydney on April 23 and Wellington on April 28. Thereafter this service will be maintained bv the Makura and the Tahiti at twenty-eight-day intervals. P. AND 0. LINE. The local agents for thp P. and 0. Company have been advised that the Mongolia is now to leave Sydney for London on December 16, one day earlier than schedule time, in order to reach Adelaide fat which a call is made en route) before Christmas Day. The departure date of the Mooltan from Sydney for London has also been altered. The vessel is now to leave the New South Wales port on February 10 instead of February 11, as previously announced.
