Bray Bros. (Dunedin), Ltd., report as follows for the week ended to-day: _ The chaff market is quiet, with few con* signnients coming forward. Good quality has been selling round about £8 los (sacks extra). The demand is limited. North Island is still drawing its supplies from Tasmania. Canterbury merchants aro offering chaff, spready delivery April, May, June, £6 15s, f.ab., s.i. Little interest is being shown in the oat market. Thera are a few inquiries for “A” grade Cartons, and small parcels have been sold at 6s 6d, i.0.b., s.i. The oats changing hands are mostly wanted to cover forward sales. The local market has been kept supplied with Canadians, which are selling at Ss 8d bushel, sacks included, ex store. The wheat market is still firm. Odd lots held in store are being sold for fowl wheat round about 7s per bushel, sacks extra. The fowl wheat market is firm in tho North, and the price is 7s od, f.0.b., s.i., Timaru .and Lyttelton. In Adelaide tho price is 6s 4d, f.0.b., s.i., for December and January shipment. Bran and pollard are short supplied. Dunedin millers’ prices aro as follow : —Flour £ls 10s, bran £6, pollard £7, oatmeal £29. The potato market has finned up. "Very few sounl old potatoes aro offering, and best lines are worth £8 to £8 5s per ton. Reds and blues are offering at £7 to £7 10s. Localgrown new potatoes are offering more freely, and these sold from 4d to 6d per lb. North Island new potatoes are also offering round about 2J>d to 3d per lb. The onion market has firmed up, and best Melboarnes are selling up to 28s per cwt, and Canadians to 355. The fruit marts aro starting to get busy. Apples have been in very short supply. Canadians are now sold out of wholesale hands, and Sturmers are worth up to 20s per case. Oranges are in fair supply up to 26s per case, and bananas short supply. A few Winter Cole pears are coming on to the market from cool stores, but everything points to apples and oranges being short supplied during tho season. Gooseberries are coming forward more freely, and a few hothouse tomatoes are coming to hand. Lettuce is in over-supply. All other vegetables aro short of supply and prices high. Tho egg market is firm, and everything points to prices advancing! Cheo.se is off-T----mg freely round about 9jd per !b. Tho butter market has eased Id, dairy puts selling at Is 6d and factory bulk butler at Is 7Jd. There is an inquiry for honey, and best bulk is worth sid. Bacon js in good supply, and the market firm. _ T hero is a good steady demand for all linos of first-class fruit, produce, and f vegetables, and good prices are ruling. The following prices were realised during the week ; Chaff: Prime oaten, £8 los ton; oaten straw, £5; wheaten, £4. Wheat: Fowl, 6s 9d to 7s 3d bushel. Honey: Bulk, s^d; 101 b tins, 6s 6d t pats, 4s 3d dozen. Hams, Is 2d. Bacon : Hitclion’s, Is 2d. Cheese, 9d to 10d. Butter: Bulk, Is 8d; separator pats, ls 4d. . * Apples: Stumers, 15s to 20s; Democrats, 16s to 18s; Amencan, 22s 6d; cockers, 10s. Cherries, 2s 2d. Pears : Winter Coles, sd. Lemons : Adelaide, 21s. Pines, 255. _ Oranges: Australian navels, 2os; Tahiti, 22? 6d." Passions, 22s 6d. Bananas, ripe, 32s 6d. Potatoes, £7 to £3. Peas, 5d to 7fd. Onions: Melbourne, £27. Walnuts, 9d to lOd. Carrots, 6s cwt. Swedes, 3s cwt. Parsnips, 8s 6d cwt. Cauliflowers, firsts, 12s to 16s dozen. Cabbage, firsts, 5s to 10s dozen. Asparagus, 8s to 12s dozen bunches. Cucumbers, 14s to 18s dozen.
