(Received November 7, at 9.10 a.m.) The Federation of British Industries has issued a memorandum which is designed to prove that the alterations in the Australian tariff will result in severe detriment to certain British . industries in a maimer in which the framers of the regulations did not intend. The federation declares that it would welcome an assurance that tho Australian Government is prepared to receive a reasoned statement from tho industries concerned, and to make adjustments removing tho hardship to individual trades. —Reuter.
