PRISONERS SENTENCED

AUCKLAND. In the Supreme Court, John Graham and Albert Edward Duncan, two men with bad crime records, wore sentenced for breaking and entering and the theft of jewellery valued at £305, the former to four years’ imprisonment and the latter to two yours concurrent with sentences at present being served. Leslie Robert WhitOj stated to have been involved in the disposal of the stolen jewellery, on a charge of theft was sentenced to twelve months’ imprisonment. John Desmond Lauchlan Gobble, for breaking and entering and theft, at Pukekohe, was given three years’ probation. Rupert James Connell, aged twenty-four, for receiving stolen property, received two years’ probation, conditionally on paying £3O to the probation officer in twelve monthly instalments.
