ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY’S CONCERT

For the third concert of the season, to be given in His Majesty’s Theatre this evening, the society has been fortunate in securing the services of Mrs Astley Black and 'Mr Peter Sutherland as soloists. Mrs Black’s items include ‘ Farewell to My Homo’ (Catalan!) and ‘Are Maria" (Percy Kahn). Mr Sutherland has selected ‘ Within These Sacred Bowers ’ (Mozart) as one of his songs. The orchestral numbers have been happily selected, and include Haydn’s ‘Fifth Symphony,’ which will be presented in its entirety. As usual, arrangements have been made for a limited number of tickets to be on sale at the theatre.
