NEW ZEALAND’S MABKETTNQ PROPOSALS, Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Press .^ssociatim, LONDON, September 1The ‘DaDy Mail' interviewed Mr W. Grounds (chairman of the Dairy Control Board) who explained that New Zealand intended to deliver huttor and cheese to the British consumer by more direct channels, thus reducing the price and eliminating speculation. When he came to London he found that the Americans had cornered largo quantities of New Zealand butter, of which the supplies were short. Speculation, however, was not confined to the Americans. It was •the board’s business to stop it and to ensure regular supplies of the beat New Zealand produce m Britain throughout idle year/ “ We hope to eliminate the distributors ■who take no trouble to see that our butter is kept properly,” said Mr Grounds. Zealand cannot afford to lose her rwutiition through the carelessness of new firms.” —Sydney * Sun * Cable.
