NEW YORK, August 5. The newspaper, ‘ New York American ’ states that a suit for 250,00d0l is being brought against Robert Catts, a millionaire theatre owner and club man, by Margaret Linden, an Australian actress. According to the newspaper, Miss Innden asserts that she dined with Catts in a gorgeous apartment of a twenty-story miifding in a wealthy section of Park avenue. She savs that Catts made overtures io her, whicli she resisted, and that lie then beat her with his fists. She took up a. leather strap and retaliated, beating him off. Catts denies the charge, and refuses to discuss the matter beyond saying : “ Her story is ‘bunk.’ I have referred the matter to my Lawyer.”
