CHORAL SOCIETY

I lie final rehearsal for the * Der Freischutz’ concert was held on Saturday evening, and an excellent production is promised to patrons to-morrow and

Wednesday. The choir and orchestra can * be relied upon to give an excellent rendering of these operatic choruses. The two lady soloists (Misses Mecla Pain© and Espeth Denholm) are both called upon for artistic and difficult work, and on Saturday evening their duet, ‘P.ogue, Hold Firm,’ was given a hearty reception of applause by the choir members. This also applies to the trio, ‘Where? What? 0 Terror! ’ to be sung by the two ladies and Mr Sydney Butler. The whole work is well supplied with concerted items, in addition to chorus and orchestra, but the two numbers mentioned will in themselves be well worth the admission prices. Book or secure tickets at Bristol or from, the secretary.
