LONDON, August 17. The death is announced of Sir Oyrprian Bridge.

[Sir Cyprian Bridge, who was eightyfive years of ago, entered the Navy - m 1853. He served in the Bay of Bengal during the Indian Mutiny, and with the Naval Brigade in Burma. He was Director of Naval Intelligence from 1889 to 1894; Commander-in-chief of the Australian station. 1895-98; Commander-in-chief of the China. Station, 1901-04. Ho retired in 1904. Ho sat on many expert §nd Commissions
