SECOND CONCERT TO-NIGHT. The unqualified success of Mr Charles Hackott and his brilliant associate artists M. Bratza and Mr Clarence Raybould’ at His Majesty’s Theatre • at the first concert has created a remarkable impression among music-lovers, and the distinguished tenor morn than realised the remarkable things that had been said of him before his advent here. Mr Hackett is being heard in Dunedin at the early stage ol what promises to bo one of the most brilliant careers the musical world J, a s known, and New -Zealand is fortunate in haying the opportunity of hearing a celebrity whose services are in such great demand in older countries. M. Bratza the phenomenal young Serbian violinist’ is a revelation. He is alone worth haering* and in England is regarded as being among the front rank of violinists to-day. Mr Raybould completes the trio of musicians that are unequalled anywhere. Mr E. J. Gravestock has undoubtedly earned the gratitude of all Dunedin music-lovers for again providing an opportunity of hearing the best in music literature, interpreted by world-famed musicians, and it is safe to forecast that His Majesty’s Theatre will be full to capacity to-night and on Monday night. Another fine programme hag been arranged for this evening’s concert, Mr Hackett’s numbers including; ‘ 0 Paradise,’ from ‘ L’Africaine ’ (Meyerbeer) j * n Hio Tesoro,’ from Don Giovanni * (Mozart)j ‘The Fairy Song,’ from ‘The Immortal Hour ’ (Boughion); 1 p e3Popillons ’ (Chaussou); ‘Clair de Luno (Szulc); * Mai ’ (Saint-Saens); ‘Ah, Moon of My Delight’ (Lehmann); ‘1 Heard Yon Sing’ (Eric Coates); 'Duna ' (M‘Gill); ‘ The Loprehaun ’ (Irish Folk Song); etc. M. Bartza will play ‘ Concerto in G Minor ’ (Max. Bruch), ‘Havanaise’ (Saint-Saens), ‘Prelude in E’ (Bach), * Chant d’Amour ’ (Suk), ‘Tarnbourin Cliinois ’ (Kreisler). The box plan for to-night’s concert will be at the Geyser Confectionery, where day sale tickets may also be obtained.
