EARTHQUAKE IN JAPAN
A SHARP SHOCK. Press Association—By Telegraph—OoiVvfc, TOKIO, August H (Received August 16, at 12.55 a.m.) The sharpest earthquake since Januy was experienced this morning. It laai four minutes, and emptied most ci o houses of their occupants. The ohsev,tory located the centre of the disturoaa in the north-east on the borders of a I herald and Teukushima provinces, who the shock was possibly severe. No rcpcs have been received that lead to uneisim. The Prince Regent and the Princess a spending a holiday at Lake Inawashi, which is within the possible zone cf > tivity.—Renter.
