TENTATIVE SETTLEMENT. (Peb United Pp.ess Association.] INVERCARGILL, July 19. After further conference between the Ohai minors and the owners, it is announced that a settlement has been reached subject to ratification by tho Miners’ Union, which meets on Sunday. The terms are not disclosed, but if accepted the men will resume on Monday. Coal stocks arc at a low ebb. fit is stated locally that the charge for the detonators, which was ono of tho Grievances, has been adjusted by the men being paid an increase in the hewing rate tbaUwill bo equivalent to tho charge for detonators. The cessation of work has lasted a fortnight.]
