Telegrams were sent by Mr Mackenzie King (Prime Minister of Canada) and President Coolidge expressing their earnest desire to co-operate towards the economic restoration of the world. There were enthusiastic scenes at the farewell session. The delegates, ranged under banners representing forty-two countries and States, and led by an orchestra, joined in singing the national tunes of the different countries. The meeting finally passed a resolution urging a conference of the leaders of the nations, with a view to preventing wars.Reuter.
